Daily-ish Cat Cartoon #2 and Arizona Cardinals

Well, the most exciting part of today was the Cardinals win over San Fransisco! Go Cardinals! All the way!
Here is my daily cat cartoon #2! Starring Mikki and Lulu.
My cat companions are an endless source of inspiration and humor.
Happy Sunday :)
(Mikki and Lulu are inspired by my cat companions,
Leonis and Rumitilda. Leonis is most like Mikki,
while Lulu is more like Rumitilda.)

Daily-ish Cat Cartoon and Mini Habits

I was going through email today and came across an interesting question about willpower and procrastination from a Quora user. (Click on the link to get the original question.) One of the answers was unusual and made perfect sense to me. It was by Stephen Guise and he suggested "Mini Habits".

Instead of trying to whip yourself into feeling motivated to do something, which is often not successful, try doing something miniscule, like one push up a day, toward your goal of getting in shape. Because it is such a small step,

you will be inclined to do it. Consistently. And that is the basis of successful completion of goals.

And so . . .I have made a very short list of mini habits to cultivate for MYSELF. One of these is doing a cartoon sketch daily. Actually putting pencil or pen to paper is important to me. It "feels" good for one thing, but it also takes me away from the computer where there is always artwork to upload and products to create for my shops and then promoting and the business side of being and artist. The simple fun of drawing cats and something that can make people smile makes me incredibly happy!

This is day one of "Mikki and Lulu".

The Mini Habits book is here:

New Adult and Juvenile Diabetes Support Cards

I recently finished a set of ten #diabetessupportcards for
adults and
kids. They are available on Greeting Card Universe.

There is also a website, Cards for Kids with Diabetes,
devoted entirely to support cards for kids with
diabetes
that includes healthy recipes, diabetes in
the news, and helpful tips for managing life with type l or ll
diabetes. There are several wonderful greeting cards
featured there.

I'm planning to try the banana break pancakes recipe. Yum!

My 2015 Legacy Cat Calendar

My first calendar is with the Legacy Publishing Group and I'm thrilled! This is the 2015 Cat Capers Calendar. Picture was taken at the Atlanta Gift Show by my agent, Kimberly Montgomery, of Montage Licensing. Thanks, Kimberly!
I love this little cat-she visits me a lot in my drawings :) Inspiration for the expression is from the male cat, Leonis, when he is trying to poach Rumitilda's food!

Diabetes Advocacy posted a guest spot by Nene Adams, featuring our Greeting Card Universe cards for Juvenile Diabetes :)
